Getting There

Travel

Everything you need to find your way to the château.

I.

By Air

The nearest airport is Nantes Atlantique (NTE), about 30 minutes' drive from the château, with direct flights from London and several major European cities.

Paris's airports are roughly 3.5–4 hours away by car — flying into Nantes, or travelling onward by train, is the easier route.

II.

By Train

High-speed TGV trains run from Paris to Nantes in around two hours. From Nantes, it's a further 30–45 minutes by car or taxi to the château.

III.

By Road

The château sits in the countryside between Nantes, Cholet and Angers, in the Maine-et-Loire department.

404 La Brûlaire, 49600 Beaupréau-en-Mauges, France.
Free parking is available on-site.

For Our LA Crowd

Flying From Los Angeles

There's no direct flight from LAX to Nantes, but the connection is simple — here's how we'd route it.

≈ 11 Hours
LAX → Paris (CDG)Air France and Delta both fly nonstop, usually overnight.
Step One
≈ 1–2 Hours
CDG → NantesEither a short connecting flight on Air France (easiest if your bags are checked through to Nantes), or the train into Paris and onward by TGV.
Step Two
≈ 30–45 Min
Nantes → The ChâteauBy taxi, transfer or rental car from Nantes Atlantique airport or the train station.
Step Three

Paris runs nine hours ahead of LA in August — given the journey, we'd suggest landing a day or two before Friday's welcome drinks to settle in and shake off the jet lag.

Worth Knowing

We're marrying the day before August 15th — a French public holiday (the Assomption) and the busiest week of the summer break. Some small shops, boulangeries and restaurants around Gesté close for a stretch around this date, and roads can be a little busier with holiday traffic. We'd suggest booking a rental car, a dinner table or a late checkout sooner rather than later.
